FAQs

Who sponsors WildBC?

WildBC is an environmental education program of the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation, a nonprofit conservation agency, and the Ministry of Environment. WildBC has been an HCTF and MOE program since 1995 and prior to becoming WildBC, we operated under the program of Project WILD during the early 80’s.

How do I get a workshop?

Please check our events listing for workshop dates or call the WildBC office to get information on workshops in your area. If you are a group of at least 10 or more wanting a workshop please fill out a workshop request form and we would be happy to organize one for you.

Do the publication or workshop fees include taxes?

All of WildBC’s educational resources and workshops are GST exempt.

Do you ship internationally?

WildBC will ship internationally however the receiver is responsible for paying any applicable duties.

Do you offer workshops outside of BC?

WildBC only provides workshops to educators in British Columbia. Please check with some of our national program sponsors, such as the Canadian Wildlife Federation, who sponsor Project WILD, Below Zero, and Focus on Forests, or with the Canadian Water Resources Association (CWRA) and Watercourse for Project WET.

How long are the WildBC workshops?

Our workshop minimum time is 4 hours in duration. Workshops time may vary depending on the program being delivered and group needs. We recommend a full day for all participants in order to receive the full benefits of our trained facilitators and the hands-on nature of the workshop.
